[SOLD by GALP Galleria d’Arte] 2025 – Stainless steel, bronze, tin-bismuth, gold leaf, h 93 x 48 x 18 cm.
Available at GALP Art Gallery.
Description:
Broken and contrasting lines ascend from a single point of the base and rejoin at the top, creating a light compositional dance of triangles and curves that is continually changing and discontinuous. The bronze bindings at the intersections between the metal bars suggest an apparent precariousness. At the peak of this ascending motion, a thin bronze thread keeps the pendulum suspended, exposed to the oscillations determined by exogenous forces but which will return after each stress to point towards the point of origin. The sculpture aims to investigate the relationship between compositional balance and illusory instability, alluding at the same time to the ability to restore one’s gravitational center despite vulnerability to events. Exhibited for the first time at ‘Equilibrium‘ solo exhibition (2025).
