Artist statement

Silvia Di Pasquale is a contemporary sculptor whose work investigates the dialogue between human anatomy and dynamic tension. Her sculptures trace the invisible lines of energy that move through matter, articulating a refined interplay between solid and void. Through the use of rods, bindings and anatomical forms, she explores the contrast between divergent forces, pursuing the delicate emergence of equilibrium.

The artworks are constructed by welded metals, full bronze or mixed metal and resin (see “Bronzes” and “Stainless Steel and Resin“).

Bio

Silvia Di Pasquale was born in Sicily in 1986. In 2011 she got the masters degree in Art History at the University of Siena (Tuscany). From 2013 to 2017 she launched her professional career as a Digital Artist and 3D Character Designer, collaborating with virtual reality and 3d sculpting agencies throughout Italy.

In 2018 she established her own Sculpture Atelier near Como, operating as a freelance sculptor in both manual and digital sculpting techniques, mainly in collaboration with Perseo Artfoundry (Mendrisio, Switzerland). She collaborated as 3d artist with renowned international artists as Patrick ‘O Reilly and Alexander Klingspor (description of “NYC-legend” here).

In 2026 she created a series of sculptures around the Winter Olimpic Games Milano-Cortina theme. The result of her artistic research gave rise to the exhibition ‘Vibrazioni Olimpiche‘ curated by GALP Gallery at the prestigious Villa Bernasconi Museum in Cernobbio. In the opening day was unveiled the monumental bronze sculpture which lends its name to the exhibition itself.

In February 2026, the sculpture ‘La Grande S– Franco Dompé memorial‘, a remarkable project promoted by Fondazione Dompé, focused on the theme of bobsleigh and celebrating the memory of Franco Dompé, was installed at Cortina d’Ampezzo (Italy) on the occasion of the opening of the Olympic Games. The indoor version of this sculpture has been exhibited in Palazzo Castiglioni in Milan during the Olympics and will be permanently exhibited in Fondazione Dompé headquarter in Milan.
